Prophetic Time Span Examples

A prophetic time span is the period of time a Bible prophecy is scheduled to continue once it begins. The 2300, 1260, 1290 and 1335 day prophecies of Daniel chapters 8 and 12 are prophetic time spans. When they begin they will continue for 2300, 1260, 1290 or 1335 literal days. You will see from the examples given below that these time spans begin and end on divinely appointed dates in the sacred calendar, on the Almighty's annual Sabbaths, His Feast and Fast days. These prophetic time spans are all linked to the sacred calendar in the same way as your own annual leave from work begins and ends on appointed dates in the civil calendar. The following examples are not to be looked upon as SBS predictions of when the Time Prophecies will begin or end. Nor are they an attempt to date the second coming of Jesus Christ; a date no one, other than the Father, knows. (Matt.24:36) They are given simply to show how the time prophecies in Daniel and Revelation slot into periods between a Feast in one year and another Feast, Fast or sacred season 2300, 1260, 1290 or 1335 days later. This means that these Time prophecies could start any year in the near future. That is the point being made in this Appendix.

The 2300 day prophecy of Daniel 8

In certain periods there are exactly 2300 days between the Feast of Pentecost in one year and the Feast of Trumpets about seven years later. The first and the last days are both included in the count.

NOTE

The one month difference which occurs in some calculations is because an extra leap year is present in the count, hence a difference of 29 or 30 days. The one day difference that occurs in other calculations is because some counts have more 30 day months than others. The examples given above, nevertheless, clearly prove that the Time Prophecies of Daniel and Revelation slot exactly into periods of time between a sacred Feast in one year and another some years later. By implication this means that true believers should not only be studying those prophecies, but should be keeping those sacred appointments with the Almighty (His Feasts) at which times those selfsame prophecies are scheduled to begin. Festival dates may be considered on three levels
  1. TYPICAL DATES: These dates are kept in anticipation of divine victories which are planned to occur in a future year; but on the same day of the same month. At the moment (2001) most of Yahweh's feasts are 'shadows of things to come.' In other words the realities to which they point have yet to occur; they are still future.
  2. EVENT DATES: These are the actual dates on which the Almighty will perform His mightiest deeds in the Plan of Salvation. When these once in eternity' dates arrive, they will be highlighted by signs in the sun, moon and stars.
  3. MEMORIAL DATES: These are dates which will be celebrated throughout eternity by the redeemed as memorials and anniversaries. On these dates, throughtout time, we will look back with rejoicing as we remember the great deeds Yahweh and His Son Yeshua performed to secure our salvation.
