Once the date of a month is established, as at Appendix A, the next step is to find out what day of the week that date falls upon. When that is determined you simply enter a 1 in the space for that day of the week. For example if it is a Monday, ( as in the 1994 example below ) then enter a 1 under Monday. If it is a Tuesday then enter a 1 under Tuesday. Then in the next weekday spaces enter 2,3,4,5,6 etc., all the way up to 29. At 29 stop and see what day of the week the next month starts at. If it is the weekday following the 29th, then the month you are working on will have only 29 days. If it is two week days away, then the month you are working with will have 30 days. Enter 30 in the next space and move to the next month.
1st Abib was 14th March. This was a Monday. So the calendar for Abib in 1994 appeared like this: The 2 highlighted days are Feasts. |

1st Zif was a Tuesday. This left Abib with only 29 days. Had Zif started on a Wednesday, Abib would have had 30 days. |
