Text Based On Hebrews Chapter 4 (KJV)
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is
entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God
did from his.

FAIREST SABBATH, ALLELUIA!
1.
Fairest Sabbath, Alleluia!
Fairer than our words can say!
Down we lay our heavy burden
Of life’s toil and care once more,
While this day of joy and love,
Brings fresh vigour from above.
2.
Sabbath full of holy glory,
Holy rest-day of the week!
Light upon a world of darkness,
From thy blessèd moments seek!
Holy, happy, heav’nly day,
Thou canst take our grief away.
3.
In the gladness of Thy worship,
We will seek Thy joy this day;
It is then we learn the fullness,
If Thy grace for which we pray,
When the word of life is giv’n,
Like the Saviour’s voice from heav’n.
4.
Let Thy day with Thee be ended,
As with Thee it was begun,
And Thy blessing, Lord, be granted,
Till earth’s days and weeks are done;
Than at last Thy servants may,
Keep eternal Sabbath days.
A blessèd Seventh Day Sabbath to all believers.
