This article's arguments and conclusions though Bible based are not meant as an attack on any individual or group of individuals, be they believers or unbelievers. Instead it's aim is to inform everyone of how the Almighty God of the Bible, the One known as Jehovah the God of Israel, reacts to the practice of homosexuality.
Isaiah 3: | 9: “The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not.” |
What is new is that laws are now being formulated in many countries to allow consenting adults absolute freedom to commit homosexual acts. This could mean that it will soon be unlawful to publicly voice disapproval of the sexual behaviour of others. That would be punishable by fine or imprisonment. In other words, all preachers of whatever faith would be breaking the civil law if they condemned homosexuals for their behaviour. These are facts which will, perhaps, be the subject of discussion by multiplied millions.

Leviticus 18: | 22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23: Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24: Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.” |
Deuteronomy 23: | 17: “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.” |
This is the Almighty's law concerning homosexual acts. Failure to keep it constitutes an abomination. Bear in mind that the city of Sodom existed long before Israel became a nation: so the Almighty's law doesn't only apply to Israel, but to all mankind.
Genesis 18: | 20: “And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21: I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. 22: And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.” |
Genesis 19: | 1: “And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2: And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. The Apostle Peter says the same thing.
2 Peter 2: | 4: “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5: And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6: And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly.” |
Isaiah 1: | 10: “Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.”

Deuteronomy 29: | 18: “Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; 19: And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: 20: The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. 21: And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law: 22: So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it; 23: And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath.” |
